Prejudice

A prejudice is a prejudgment, an assumption made about someone or something before having adequate knowledge to be able to do so with guaranteed accuracy.

Prejudice can refer to a preconceived judgment towards people or a person because of race, social class, gender, ethnicity, age, etc. Please give specific examples of the kinds of prejudice that exist in the novel. Refer to specific instances in the novel to authenticate your statements.

An example would be when the teacher sees the boy with the cooties, she tells him he needs to take a shower, but she didnt know that he was poor, and maybe he doesn't have a place to shower often. Then when the teacher asks for everyone to put their lunch on the desk, he doesn't and Scout tries to tell her that he won't take anything he can't pay back.
